Children's Hospital Main Campus

Our GFG Family Fun Day continues to be a success with our 4th event!

This year we had a bounce house (yes, inside the hospital); the kids LOVED it. It was dreary outside and was nice to see kids working up a sweat. We had a face painter again this year and she out-did herself! The kids looked extravagant - along with a ton a food and crafts. Thanks Mary Kay for the great gluten free educational games and prizes.  I know the older kids wouldn't leave her alone - all they wanted to do was play her game, which is wonderful.

A special thanks to the ladies at Sweet Mama's Bakery. They brought cut out cookies that were really, really good. It was great to have them to help give the kids a sugar rush for the bounce house. Reach them at www.SweetMamasBakery.com

RW Bakers donated their Hamburger Buns and Pizza Crusts this year. The hamburger buns were great with the lunch meat, they were light and airy. (Well, they really were.) You can order them on www.RWBakers.com or you can order them at Gordon Food Market Place Store (GFS). You have to ask the Manager to order by code. Buns = GFS Code # 982122 and Pizza Crusts = GFS CODE # 925940.

And again we had some really good bread, dinner rolls and cookies from a company called Katz Gluten Free. You can find them on-line at www.KatzGlutenFree.com. Their product is available locally at Raisin Rack and at HSU on McNaughten.

Our 3rd GFG Family Fun Day was a success!

First, I want to thank Mary Kay, Barb Meek & Laura Woitovich for all their help. I think everyone really had a great time and the Buckeyes won! We had a face painter, a balloon-maker and a magician to help entertain the kids  - along with a ton a food and crafts. Laura helped to entertain the little ones with her Discovery Toys.

Our 2nd Family Fun Day was a huge success!
Attended by over 75 people, there were mounds of food, including the best GF Cupcakes anyone has ever tasted!

Luke the Juggler entertained the kids with his juggling and magic.

A special thanks to one of our members Terri for bringing some of her fellow Ohio State (GO BUCKS!) friends to teach us some very cool science.

Another special thanks to another one of our members Barb who organized all the crafts that the kids had a great time doing!
