Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup green pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 cup celery, diced
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 Tablespoons butter
  • 1  16 oz can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 Tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 Tablespoon fresh parsley
  • 1/2  teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper- to taste
  • 1 point shrimp, raw

Directions:

  • In a large skillet, cook the onion, celery, green pepper and garlic with the butter until soft.
  • Add the rest of the ingredients except shrimp and cook 5 minutes.
  • Add shrimp and cook 3-5 minutes more until shrimp is pink.
  • Let sit 2 minutes.
  • Serve over rice.
